Virtual Reality Future Discussed - VR is Here!
As a new era of high-definition entertainment is ushered in there will be many questions to answer from ethics to standardization. On the ethical front, I do not see the unethical questions as problematic. I see a whole new world unlimited in scope; be whatever you wish to be. I believe it will stop illegal drug use and prevent depression. This will affect Drug Companies and they have a huge strangle hold lobby on our regulatory bodies?
Perhaps the ethics issues might be re-directed that way? Then there is the issue with bandwidth, unless things change drastically Virtual Reality will soak up 10 times the bandwidth of VoIP, which has already significantly slowed down the internet during peak times. Most experts believe this will be an issue. I concur indeed and am a Subscriber to "Broadband Properties Magazine."
Of course, I believe we are on the edge or unlimited information bandwidth too. Sending the granules of VR or Virtual Reality objects on photons of light, yes that is the latest buzz in the research physics world these days. But all these technical issues will be conquered as the desires of consumers skyrockets for VR products and the "VR Experience" as part of the human life experience.
It should be noted that eventually humankind can record the world here and replace it somewhere or anywhere for space colonies to keep sanity alive. Sound too out of this World for you? It should as the VR World is already pressing on the blurred reality of the world we currently live in.
